Friday

D-Day (delivery date!)

Finally, this is it...the day we both have been waiting for Tuesday, July 4th, 2006. Today we're heading to the hospital to welcome our son into this world.

Keasy was soooo excited that she couldn't sleep all night. I, on the other hand, slept like a log : )
We got up, bright and early, @ 5:30 a.m. - there were definitely nervousness in the air. although, it could be the lack of sleep! We headed to Vichaiyut Hospital by 5:50 a.m. We got there by 6:00 a.m., it was a very short drive from our house, especially this early in the morning.

She checked in and the hospital staffs prepared her for the operation. It was 8:00 a.m. by the time they rolled her in to the OR. I was disappointed when they told me I couldn't go in with her too. I wanted to be there to hold her hands and give her support.

In 30 minutes (32 to be exact) - baby Indie was delivered safe & sound! He was such a tiny little thing. But, it wasn't until about 12:30 p.m. when they roll her back to her room when I have been hangin' out since this morning. I was anxious and restless to know how things went, but wanted to give her time to rest up a bit. Her dad & brother also came by to visit.

It was about 3:30 p.m. when they bought Indie in for his meal - and when I finally get to meet him in person for the first time. Naturally, I was more than thrilled in the thought of becoming a Dad. However, once I got to hold him in my arms and looking at his prescious tiny
little face - all these other emotions that had been built-up inside me until this point in time came over me like a tidal wave - yes, I weeped like a kid who just lost his favorite toy! Keasy tried to contained my emotionals outburst a bit - since she was going to weep with me also. You can see the tears still in my eyes in photo below.
